So this happened: sweet patina

I am so grateful to Sweet Patina and the wonderful ad they placed in Tallahassee Magazine for The Governor's Daughter. This was a few months ago but Sweet Patina always has a nice selection of my necklaces as well as other gifties. 

Its a gift in itself to walk through the store.

And another new one at Sweet Patina. I was a tad sad to let this one go... It would certainly be great with my outfit today! It reminds me of a bumble in search of the perfect flower.

New Beauts: pollen on the pond

I just put in some new long and short to Sweet Patina last Friday. Here is one for purchase. Love the colors! It reminds me of the pollen/film on my pond outside. It is some new breed of something and even though I feel bad for the ducks swimming through it, it really is quite a nice color.

For our sweet and special teachers, I  ( and my daughter helped pick out the colors) made Long and Skinny necklaces for them. 

The bottom pic is blurry but you get the idea. On that note, I have had more conversations with friends lately about cameras and digital photos. While I appreciate the ability to see my photo instantly and can print it whenever I want, I have too many pics! And now that everyone is an expert photographer, it feels unacceptable to have blurry or dark photos because there is a tutorial everywhere out there in cyber world telling me how to do it properly. I get it. I want to see clean and crisp photos and when the light is just right.

However, I am not a photographer. Kudos to those who are. My giftings lie elsewhere.It would be nice if I was one. And to be honest, there is something refreshing about blurry photos, your aunts fanny front and center and fingers over the lens. Its home grown. I am not perfect so why would anything else be? Too much fuss- enjoy the beauty as the Lord freely gives it.

This beauty, The Mexican Hat Dance, made its way to Birmingham to be worn by an artist. I love it when other artists like my work. What a compliment!

Welcome Purple Martin Outpost!

I am happy to report my necklaces are now sold in Purple Martin Outpost here in Tallahassee. It is such a darling store and will give you much inspiration for your home and yard. It is becoming a Saturday favorite for my family. Here are a few that are for featured at the Outpost.

Get ready for the FSU game by going out and getting your own FSU necklace. Now, I went to Clemson but I grew up with FSU, but I know my Clemson people are cringing. Sorry guys! I just think FSU is in my blood. But in time, maybe I will do a Clemson necklace and dare I say, UF necklace? My husband may not allow that one.

I am happy to announce a new member of The Governor's Daughter family. She is garnet and gold and loves it when you shout. Shout as in cheering on your team. I am doing more than one and although they won't be exact replicas of one another, they will be similar. This is an original length one which is 18" and I will be doing the Long and Skinny size as well. I have one at Bedfellows right now, I will be putting some in Chrysalis and you can always purchase on my etsy site.  If you are local, let me know and I will change the price because you won't need to pay shipping and we can do a meet and greet ie I leave in your mailbox.  Back to business...  yay for the FSU necklace!
