This beauty, The Mexican Hat Dance, made its way to Birmingham to be worn by an artist. I love it when other artists like my work. What a compliment!

Oh, how I love the outdoors. The beauty of the Lords creation is intoxicating. I read something recently about what joy it is that we are given the ability to create in the shadow of His creation. What an honor. Everything we can imagine and dream up was first created by Him.
I recently painted this for my parents for their backyard. I have done several outdoor paintings ( here and here.) It has a different feel than my others and I did this one en plein air. Oui, Oui!
You would think I would get a photo with the whole painting in it...
It was hung in front of a new fountain.

I am happy to report my necklaces are now sold in Purple Martin Outpost here in Tallahassee. It is such a darling store and will give you much inspiration for your home and yard. It is becoming a Saturday favorite for my family. Here are a few that are for featured at the Outpost.
And today was our last day of school. Happy summer, hooray!

I am doing some ordering today for a couple of baby girls birthdays. We about to hit birthday season around here! These are a few items I have in my cart:
pink honeycomb from Shop Sweet Lulu
Garden Wall Fabric at Hawthorne Threads
Marqueterie Fabric by Hawthorne Threads
Now to find the time to sew the items I want to make!

It's hard to find time around these parts to do much of anything creative or with 2 hands. I was able to eek out a few moments to make a few headbands. Ugh, even the picture is blurry. And I love the random shoe in the background.
I have a dream of having a blank canvas and free time. Or a sewing machine and scissors and free time. However, I think if I actually got the time I would take a nap or wash dishes. Boring.
For now, we have a headband.
And I have 2 baby girls to mother and that is enough for now. A "good" enough.
Cute fabric I might add by Phillip Jacobs.
