November Wedding

Here is a wedding I recently was a part of. The Governor's Daughter created the necklaces for the bridesmaids to wear down the aisle.  The bride found a Vera Bradley pattern she liked and worked her magic around the pattern to come up with the southern, fall wedding. We used paint chips to match the pattern to the beads to the flowers. I do love paint chips. Enjoy!

In-Laws Powder Room

For my in laws christmas present and my father-in-laws birthday, my sister and I decided to redo their powder room. I realize it may seem weird that my sister helped, but they are her in laws too. My sister and I are married to brothers. Let that sink in.....  Ok, now we can move on.

While the color may be bright, I really like how it turned out. We repurposed pictures, paintings and plates from their house and a few from mine for the wall. My husband and brother-in-law( times 2) painted the walls Hazel by Benjamin Moore.  The navy, rust and gold were not a direction I would have thought we were going in with the stuff on the wall, but thats just how it worked out and its unexpected. I like it.

Cake Plates

Ok, its no necklace but I found this old photo in my email. I made a cake for my dad and husband for Fathers Day, yes this was an old email, but I took a quick picture of it while it was being transported. I just love cake plates and I am finding all sorts of new uses for them...besides cake! I keep one on my dresser with all of my necklaces layed on it. The colors look so pretty you could almost eat it. I also am using them for flower arrangements. Pretty too. Ok, Happy Friday to all. ( ignore the cup in the background)

Hollywood Inspiration

Hollywood Style

I found this picture of this fabulous hotel in Hollywood a year or so ago. It certainly wouldn't mind staying there! Sadly, now I can't remember which one! I appreciate the use of color and that it doesn't look like a hotel room. I got the inspiration from this room to create this necklace, Hollywood Style. New Necklaces at The Green Door

Sweet Girls Christmas

For Christmas, I made my daughter and her cousin matching pillows and blankets. I had a great time making them and they both love them! I have done another photo pillow before, and you can check that out by clicking here.

Christmas Presents

This is a necklace I made for a cousin of mine for Christmas. She liked the picture of the one on the mannequin but sadly, it had sold. So... we made her another one! I thought it turned out quite well.
