For Palm Sunday and Holy Week, I have been working on the Triumphal Entry. I created Jesus riding the donkey, a road made out of felt palms and 2 men and 1 woman who were holding palms and crying out:
“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
Men and women came to prepare the way for the coming of their King. They brought palm branches and clothes and laid them out along the road.
The people praised God joyfully in loud voices for all of the miracles they had seen and witnessed.
May you remember the miracles the Lord has done in your life this week so that you are able to embrace the power of the resurrection this Sunday.
* I created this "palm road" by sewing these together. To see another happy sewn garland, go to this lady's wonderful site, Under the Sycamore.
* And to read more of the story of Jesus riding on a colt, read Luke 19
