Baby Blanket

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

I made this baby blanket for a friend a few weeks ago. I thought the subtle use of color was nice and quite a change for me! This baby blanket is soft and sweet and seems just right for wrapping a baby boy up. You can see another one I made here.

Mossy Underfoot

Wakulla River
Here is a necklace up on etsy. It can be viewed here. It reminds me of the Wakulla River. A few years ago, my husband and I and some friends canoed down the river and it was a lot of fun. Hot, but fun. We also went this past summer for my daughters birthday and we went on a river boat cruise. It was super fun and I was a little sad when it was over!

I love this fabric. I posted about it before here. I found the second image online a few weeks ago and have been saving it for a rainy day. Actually, I am waiting on a chair to be recovered so I have been oogling over the possibilities with fabric. My fabric on my wingback is different. I will show it when I finally gets here! You can also find the wallpaper version of this fabric at this great blog, adaanddarcy.blogspot.com. Click here to see it. Oh and one more! I recently saw the fabric on Sarah 101 as a headboard. See that one here.

Majolica
I wanted to share a necklace that is on etsy right now. You can check it out by clicking here.  The name of the necklace is Majolica, which is a type of European pottery that is bright in color and glazed. I am getting to the point... The point is, it is very close in color to my china, Tobacco Leaf by Mottahedeh. Love that stuff! Pumpkin orange, ink blue, cranberry, moss green are all great colors for fall. Check it out!

The Governor's Daughter was mentioned in the latest issue of Tallahassee Woman Magazine. They wrote an article about etsy and mentioned several local artists selling their wares on the site. The magazine can be picked up at Publix and other retailers in town. And it can be seen online by clicking here.

I did this look with my book shelf last night. Mine is much smaller than these two, but you get the idea. Quite nice! Photos courtesy of Decor Pad and crush cul de sac. And here is mine below:
