January: the month of the pillow

January has been the month of the pillow.  Perhaps Pillowuary? Yeah, doesn't sound that great.  But still, love the pillow. 

I made the euro sized pillow last week and this weekend I started the bird pillow. This bird fabric was one of the very first fabrics I bought 7 or 8 years ago that began my wonderfully fabulous fabric stash. And now I have finally used some of it! I need to buy more...

The back is a red Moroccan print I already had made into a pillow and I just cut it up and reworked it. The blue edge is an aqua velvet that I adore. This fabric never gets old.

Lucky for you guys, I have a few more pillow ideas up my sleeve... 

Pretty day, pretty pics

It's Friday. I need some inspiration. Or rather a place to let my mind wonder and my hands rest. These pics can do just that... Maybe they will spark a new creation???

Political Dress Code

I don't want to talk politics just clothes. Ok? I did realize last night that my whole business is named after a political office. Hmmm... Anyways,

I thought what Ann Romney had on last night was so fabulous. The color of the dress, with the oversized brooch, red lipstick, blond hair and a bit of color on her skin was well done. And this picture isn't doing it justice.

I still think of the green gloves Michelle Obama wore on inauguration day.

And that lovely white suit Laura Bush wore. She was glowing. Maybe she was so glad because she was about to get out of there and sleep in her own bed. Nothing like sleeping in your own bed.
