Baby Boy Blanket for Black and White Nursery

Wednesday, May 30, 2012

I made this last week for a friend having a baby boy. I thought it turned out so cute and will look great with her black and white nursery. This one has "hot dogs" on it but I thought it seemed fitting for dog lovers who like to dress their dogs in clothes. You know who you are:)

If you are looking for one of your own, I have one for sale on my etsy site and can also make one for you as well. To see others, go here, here, here. Oh! I found one more. Go here.

I just realized I didn't name her...

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

For Mothers Day, I painted my mom a painting. And as I am writing this post, I realized I forgot to name my painting! I recently just finished one for the nursery ( pictures to come soon) but I have been into it! My husband recently reworked my laundry room ( its still in the garage but he made it look nice! ) but I am hoping to add a little something to the walls in that "room." My mom wanted me to paint a painting for her porch, sort of like the ones seen here and here. I think this one turned out lovely!

My New Baby

Friday, May 25, 2012

As I am waiting for my new baby girl to come, I came up with a new baby in the necklace department. I love old brooches and have used them before on necklaces ( go here ) but I recently tried out a new thing with the brooches. My necklaces can be dressy or not but this new style is a bit more dressy. My husband wasn't quite sure what to think of it- I only used one color bead. Wild for me! I am sill coming up with a name for this new line but I like how this one turned out. What do you think?

Bye Bye Textures: SaLe on The Governor's Daughter

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

I wrote about this a few weeks ago, but wanted to remind folks that Textures Handmade Market is closing. All of The Governor's Daughter necklaces are 20% off so hurry in now to get one. This is their last week of being open. I could shed a tear about it. The owner and my friend, Maggie Willman, was able to birth something out of a dream she had and I am so proud. Textures has become an institution in Tallahassee. She will go on to continue to make unique goods and be successful but we will all miss Textures. Yay for Textures!

The Mama Files: Birthday Party

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

I have been thinking of what to do for my almost 3 year olds birthday. Baby Sister will be here in 3 weeks   (or less!) but I am trying to get myself organized for other things in my life. Holly and organization don't really go together in the same sentence, but a girl can try! I have been collecting pictures on my pinterest site for her birthday party which might be a "mini" birthday party. She is into painting, colors, gardening and she told me she wants a rainbow cake. Whatever we decide, I really want to use those straws. To get a recap on her first birthday with a Florida Mermaid theme, go here. And for her second birthday, the alligator theme, check it out here. Here are a few of those pics:
