I have a pillow I am trying to build a whole room around. Its actually an old skirt of my sisters that she wanted to use for inspiration for her little girls "Big Girl" room. I have put it with:

Inspiration Fabric/Skirt for Throw Pillow on Bed

Fuschia Duvet by Land of Nod

Amy Butler Sun Spots for Bedskirt

Parasol Striped Rug by Dash and Albert

Curtain Panels and Euro Sham by Anna Marie Horner

Rainbow Animal Art by Rose Rosenthal

Jenny Lind White Twin bed from Land of Nod

Baby Boy

Thursday, June 9, 2011

I have been helping a friend with her nursery. She is having a boy in August ( see post from June 1.) We have been designing via email which feels very high tech! Here is what we have so far:
Dwell Studio Menagerie Bedding
Orange Polka Dot from Amy Butler for window valances
Dash and Albert Rug in Stockholm
And here are some other pieces I would add:
Pottery Barn Crib
Pottery Barn Glider in cream with the orange polka dot pillow

Cute Card

I came across this card while looking for birthday party invitations. Super cute! Thanks Tiny Prints.

Baby Blanket

Friday, June 3, 2011

I made a darling baby blanket for a friend having a baby boy. While this doesn't scream baby blue boats or stripes, it is a happy marriage between mama's tastes and this precious baby boy. And lets face it, we like it!

New necklaces

These are new Long and Lean necklaces. The coral and brown I had to keep because I liked it so much. But the other two you can find at Chrysalis. Beauts!

Birthday Party

I have been trying to plan my almost little girls 2 year old birthday party. Here are a few picures of our girls party last year. We had a Florida themed party and I am having a hard time topping it! For this party, we had family over and dined on shrimp and salad for supper. I hung cut out circles from the ceiling, festive and to represent underwater seawood. I painted the mermaid for decoration and had Camille's photo taken in front of it.  I used a Florida shaped cookie cutter to make the cakes. I just happened to have one on hand! I hung lei's over the back of the kids chairs and used a fabric remenant for the table cloth. The balloons added a fun punch to the entryway to the dining room. Loved it!
